Due to the intense rain the original calligraphy was damaged. Zhao Yizhou used this opportunity to produce a new calligraphy on Thursday using green acrylic paint:

At the opening Ceremony of the new exhibition China Landscape – Kew at the British Museum Zhao Yizhou gave a live demonstration of Chinese calligraphy on the naming stone of the garden.

Unusually, he used traditional water-based ink on stone which will be preserved using a coat of varnish.
